During the New Year holidays, the demand for payday loans among the population sharply increased. Many began to contact the Payday Loan two to three weeks before the holidays to plan a New Year’s meeting. Of course, most of them wanted to buy gifts for loved ones or to organize a home celebration. But not a few people took a payday loan to travel in the winter holidays.
30% of these borrowers prefer to travel within the country. Almost every fifth went abroad, mainly because of the desire to celebrate the new year in a somewhat unusual way – under the hot sun. The most visited Russian cities were St. Petersburg and Moscow – more than 15% of those who took a vacation loan chose them. Next in popularity are the cities of the Golden Ring, the south of the country and the most interesting place for winter travel – Karelia. Strangely enough, but overseas fans more often chose not hot regions, but Europe and neighboring countries such as Georgia, Armenia and Belarus. The second most popular tourist destinations are Thailand, Turkey, India, Vietnam and Cuba. Also interesting was Server America.
Many travelers appreciate trips to the New Year holidays for the opportunity to ski and snowboard from the mountains, visit health facilities, and go on excursions. There were also those who admitted that they needed a payday loan for traveling on New Year’s holidays for some unusual sensations for Russians at this time of year – heat, cold drinks, the beach and the sea. But some, nevertheless, were sent precisely for that, without which the meeting of the new year in many families does not take place – a meeting with relatives and a large festive table.
Who takes a payday loan for travel?
Payday Loan clients report that they consider the New Year to be an obligatory holiday, which should not be saved. Every fifth borrower has spent more than 50 thousand rubles for the celebration. And every tenth from 40 to 50 thousand rubles. But there were those who fit into the budget of 10 thousand rubles – just over 10% of respondents.
It should be noted that the total share of Payday Loan clients who take a payday loan for travel has decreased compared to last year. The number of those who went on holidays to the cities of Russia has fallen almost twice, and 5% less than those who have chosen the place to celebrate the New Year abroad.
Travelers are mostly young people. Despite their financial situation, they do not want to give up traveling on holidays. If the finances are very tight – they choose cheaper tours or refuse any entertainment during the trip. Middle-aged people are increasingly choosing to meet the New Year at home in a more relaxed atmosphere.
